Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio
The latest version of the ProMRDS Samples Package is for Microsoft RDS 2008 (also called V2.0).
The current version was built with Microsoft RDS 2008 using Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition with Service Pack 1 applied. If you have Visual Studio 2005 you will need to upgrade to VS2008. Once solutions have been migrated to VS2008 you cannot (easily) return to VS2005.
RDS 2008 is available in three Editions: Express, Academic and Standard. Academic and Standard have the same functionality, so two packages are provided:
Please be sure to select the correct version. These are DssDeploy packages and they will not install unless you have the matching Edition of RDS 2008 installed.
Previous versions are also available. The Samples Package for July CTP is a DssDeploy package. It will only install into the July CTP.
The original version of the samples was designed for the V1.5 Refresh of MRDS. It will only install into V1.5.
The sample code developed for the book is available free of charge for non-commercial use. Please see the Licence Agreement for details of the terms of use.
